ABOUT TROY HUNTER
I serve as President and CEO of ElevateDD, a statewide leader in disability advocacy, education, and innovation. ElevateDD brings together the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, Learning Aid Ohio, and Adult Literacy Ohio.My work as a policy strategist and educator has focused on strengthening disability and family serving systems by expanding access and promoting inclusion. I have led in coalitions, worked to drive policy reforms, and supported the development of initiatives that improve quality of life and create long term change.In addition to leading ElevateDD, I teach at The Ohio State University on neurodiversity and culturally responsive practice. I am also pursuing a doctorate in Educational Administration with research centered on how Black mothers navigate access to early education for their sons with disabilities.I believe the most meaningful progress comes from working alongside people with disabilities and their families, building and changing systems in partnership.
