About Tracie Roggenkamp

With over 12 years of work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, I am a passionate and driven leader in the field of real world data (RWD) and real world evidence (RWE). As the Associate Director of RWD Clinical Science at Astellas Pharma US, I oversee the clinical code interpretation, mapping, and curation for RWD research across multiple markets and data sources. I have extensive knowledge and experience in various clinical vocabularies and common data models, such as ICD9, ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, OMOP, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, Read, NDC, OPCS, OPS, MedDRA, and more. I also have a strong background in epidemiology and biostatistics, as well as nursing, which enables me to understand and communicate the clinical relevance and impact of RWD and RWE to various stakeholders. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Loyola University Chicago. My mission is to leverage RWD and RWE to advance the science and practice of medicine, and to improve the lives and outcomes of patients. I am always eager to learn new skills, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to innovative and meaningful projects.#RealWorldData #ClinicalInformatics #HealthcareAnalytics #RealWorldEvidence #DataGovernance #ClinicalData #Pharmacovigilance #HealthData #ClinicalResearch #AIinHealthcare #ResponsibleAI #AIGovernance #DataQuality #EvidenceIntegrity

Provide clinical semantic oversight and applied governance for real-world evidence, defining phenotypes, cohorts, and data standards that determine how clinical data are interpreted and trusted across analytics, safety, HEOR, and advanced modeling initiatives.• Translate clinical practice, epidemiology, and patient experience into computable definitions across EHR, claims, and observational data sources, reducing semantic ambiguity and analytical risk in high-stakes decision environments.• Support cross-functional teams across R&D, pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, and analytics by ensuring consistent, bias-aware interpretation of standardized and unstandardized clinical data.• Guide cross-system and cross-region data harmonization efforts using ICD-9/10, SNOMED, MedDRA, OMOP, RxNorm, and related models to enable scalable, regulator-ready real-world evidence.• Act as a clinical–data translation point for complex analyses and emerging advanced analytics and AI-adjacent use cases, ensuring outputs are clinically meaningful, explainable, and safe to use.• Contribute to standards and best practices that allow analytics teams to move efficiently while preserving evidence integrity and scientific confidence.
