Work in parallel with Sales organization to identify new structural applications at OEM customer accounts.\\\\n• Meet regularly with OEM platform engineering teams and CAE / Simulation groups as\\\\nrequired to develop and validate solutions to platform performance issues.\\\\n• Review customer material and test specifications, statements of requirements, etc. and ensure\\\\nproduct conformance. Where applicable, provide input and guidance to the OEM’s to help write\\\\nnew specifications or paragraphs around materials and technologies to secure position as a\\\\nmaterials and technologies leader.\\\\n• Support formal material approval process at OEM’s. Understand and manage customer\\\\nmaterial requirements and work with internal organization to ensure material approvals are\\\\ncompleted as required to secure new business.\\\\n• Provide guidance to CAE and FEA modeling to provide solutions to NVH and stiffness, crash\\\\nand deformation loading, and durability issues as identified by the OEM’s. Achieve competitive\\\\nresults by optimizing solutions for cost, weight, and performance.\\\\n• Develop concept products and part designs and estimated costs for new business development.\\\\n• Establish appropriate teams for all new programs and/or engineering changes. Facilitate\\\\nresolution of any associated resource issues with appropriate department management at the\\\\ntime the team is formed (Program Management).\\\\n• Establish DVP & R’s and DFMEA’s and ensure design verification of parts; including customer\\\\non-site validation.\\\\n• Manage programs from initiation of design through formal production tool kick-off. Work\\\\nwith Program Management team to ensure prototype and production builds are met and that\\\\nparts are available on time, with quality, and in quantity.\\\\n• Ensure design reviews are complete and drawings released in accordance with department\\\\nprocedures.\\\\n• Manage engineering changes from quote approval by the customer to implementation at the\\\\nmanufacturing plant.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
