About Tristan Brown
I am Director of the Bioeconomy Development Institute and Professor of Energy Resource Economics at the State University of New York\'s College of Environmental Science & Forestry. I work primarily in the areas of techno-economic and policy analyses of sustainable energy pathways. My academic research quantifies the impacts of energy policy and environmental policy on the economic feasibility of these pathways. I have served as principal investigator on external competitive grants totaling almost $3 million and co-principal investigator on an additional $15 million. I also partner with the private sector to develop and implement successful decarbonization strategies at all corporate levels. My work has been covered in the pages of The New Yorker, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, PNAS, Politico, US News & World Report, The Huffington Post, and IFL Science, among others.
