Although I\'ll admit that I was scared coming in with a fresh slate, no experience, and no sense of direction. However, with the people and mentors that surround me from FUSIONatUCI and ASMEatUCI, I\'ve been able to get up to my feet.Hello! My name is Tristan Dela Cruz. I’m currently a 2nd year undergraduate student at UC Irvine studying Biomedical Engineering. During my time at UC Irvine, I’ve had the privelege to immerse myself in the engineering space with a multitude of diverse and technial engineering projects and opportunities. During my first year, I worked on a variety of engineering projects such as a Remote Controlled Rover, a Microfluidic Chip, and a Mobile Gestured Robotic Arm. Along with establishing leadership skills and experience as a Class Representative and Internal Vice President Intern serving the 20••••25 term at FUSIONatUCINow in my second year at UCI, I’ve had the privilege to work on different projects such as a mini drone through Peterworks, Remote Controlled Precision Drone, and Rover Project joining UCI Legacy, coupled with boosting my leadership and progressing from a Secretary Intern to Executive Secretary serving 20••••26 term at ASMEatUCI. My curiosity has driven me toward mechanical and biomedical engineering, particularly in their real-world applications in companies like Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson. Through my studies and hands-on projects, I’ve developed skills in CAD modeling, structural design, and problem-solving.
