I was accepted to a team of 12 undergraduates with the following duties- Working with smaller teams to identify areas where policy is lacking or absent- Brainstorming solutions that can be implemented quickly and seamlessly, as well as uplifting the community to better society- Compiling our thoughts into a proposal that we present to the lab- Reach out to governmental organizations that oversee the area that requires new policy ideas and work with them to implement our ideas- Attend events with other policy and research labs.

ABOUT TRISTAN TAPOLCAI
I am currently a second year at the University of Virginia studying Government and History. My interests focus on the political process and how government can best serve the people. My experiences reflect that commitment, like researching how Americans view the importance of democracy, as well as my own research study looking at how citizens make voting decisions. My involvement with policy and political organizations furthered this understanding by providing hands-on experiences with the political process. I hope to continue finding more ways to create better government and a healthier politics.
