About Tristan John
Global leadership has been a core part of both my academic and professional experiences—shaped through a combination of formal coursework in psychology, policy and advocacy, and leadership studies, as well as hands-on roles in community organizing, research, and global impact work. I have demonstrated success in conducting field research, curating initiatives, and mobilizing community events centered around equity and systemic change. My experience spans archival, qualitative, and quantitative research using ethnography and other interdisciplinary methods. This work is highlighted by leadership roles such as Cohort Captain for the Higher Education in Prisons Ambassador Program at Morehouse College, Deputy and Campus Captain for the Georgia Youth Justice Coalition, and Program Assistant for the 2025 Campbell Wright HBCU Summer Internship. I have also been internationally engaged as both an institutional ambassador and participant in study abroad and service-learning programs in South Africa, Senegal, Ireland, and Ghana. Proficient in survey design, data analysis (JASP, SPSS, ArcGIS), community-based outreach, and program development, with over 250 hours of community service and a sustained commitment to equity, advocacy, and transformative leadership.
