ABOUT TRISTAN MACNAMARA
I am a graduate Mechanical Engineer with a BEng degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I completed my degree in 2023 with First Class Honours. I have been invited into the Golden Key International Honours Society and achieved Dean\'s List. I recently immigrated to the United Kingdom and am working at Expert Technologies Group as a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer.I was involved in many interesting university projects such as-Designing and manufacturing a low budget aeroponics system for small area, vertical farming-Designing and manufacturing a radio controlled plane for the Flight Competition with the aim of transporting as many tennis balls as possible in a 5 minute period- Designing and manufacturing a Vehicle Mounted Test Rig for testing radio controlled planes using a car with limited resources. The design portion of the project included designing the rig as well as engineering solutions to non-permanently fix the rig to the vehicle. The research portion of the project was testing the effect that flap deflection has on longitudinal stability using the test rig. Through this project I gained approximately 100 hours of wind tunnel experience.
