As a Business Services Intern at BDCC, I support regional economic development efforts through business retention, outreach, and program development. I work closely with local businesses and ecosystem partners to identify opportunities for deeper engagement and growth.Key responsibilities included: • Assisting with the Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) program by preparing for and following up on outreach visits and calls with local businesses • Conducting research to support the needs of businesses and producing fact-based materials for communication • Creating and organizing internal documentation such as process guides, SOPs, and program materials • Supporting the development of a regional business challenge program through onboarding materials, flyers, and communication tools • Participating in regular team check-ins to align priorities, track progress, and contribute feedback
