At the Gronert Lab, I lead an independent senior thesis investigating neuroinflammation using retinal astrocytes as a model system. I conduct end-to-end molecular and cell culture work, including RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qRT-PCR, and mammalian cell treatments under sterile conditions. Over 3+ years in research, I’ve applied genotyping, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, cryosectioning, and tissue dissection techniques while contributing to experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis. I am also a contributor on an ARVO conference abstract focused on EP1-mediated retinal neurodegeneration.
