   Trish Stanley is the founder and CEO of The Center for Couples Therapy, a San Diego based multi-therapist practice integrating the best in contemporary couples therapy approaches which are then finely honed to meet the specific needs of our clients. Among the approaches we consider when customizing a therapy plan for a couple are Ellyn Bader and Pete Pearson\'s Developmental Model, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. With such a rich palette of understandings and tools, and therapists passionate about couples therapy and lifelong learning, we focus closely on what works with each struggling couple or individual with relationship issues. We are nimble and bring in resources from video, literature and the arts, and other approaches to provide optimal support for our clients. In addition to providing therapy with a roster of five deeply experienced and compassionate couples therapists, we offer weekend couples workshops, marathon couples therapy and private retreats. We offer consultation and resources to clinicians and other professionals and groups. Frequently arising issues include infidelity, blended and two-career couples, postpartum and parenting challenges, differences about money, sex and role expectations. Often we assist couples searching for an answer to the question of whether or not to stay together. We provide resources for positive structured separations and mediation and collaborative divorce.
