ABOUT TRISH HOROBEC
I am an experienced Tax Manager at KPMG Canada, with a broad-based background and a demonstrated history of working in public practice in both accounting and law firms. I primarily work with private companies and their shareholders and families in all aspects of corporate, personal, and trust and estate tax planning. Over my career, I have worked extensively on accounting and tax planning strategies for private companies, individuals, and trusts. My primary focus is on corporate and personal income tax planning and reorganization strategies for privately held businesses, as well as estate planning pertaining to death and taxes. I enjoy helping clients understand their tax requirements, and developing strategies to help minimize their overall tax burden.A proponent of higher learning, I have been the recipient of many awards and honours in my courses of study. I was the Valedictorian for CGA Alberta in my graduating year, and also ranked in the Top Ten of new CGA Canada members internationally. I specialized in CGA Canada’s public practice stream, and received numerous merit based awards related to that stream at both the provincial and national levels. In my spare time, I am a visual artist, a musician, and an avid reader.Views expressed are my own.
