About Trish Devine Karlin

I am a philanthropic leader, strategic advisor, and non-profit executive who partners with Boards, families, and foundations to guide philanthropic investment for maximum impact. I help leaders determine where capital can make the greatest difference, elevate community voices, evaluate organizational capacity honestly, and drive measurable results.I bring more than 30 years of leadership and governance representing more than $2B in philanthropic investment across global nonprofit environments. My work is grounded in a simple belief: capital creates lasting social change when clarity of mission, community leadership, donor trust, organizational readiness, and execution are aligned.My perspective was shaped by three decades at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where I held senior executive roles spanning programs, business development, strategy, and external affairs. During that time, the organization scaled to operate across 20 countries, reached more than 34 million pregnant women at risk for HIV, and contributed to an 80% reduction in new HIV infections and deaths among children. I now serve as Senior Strategic Advisor as the organization enters its next phase.I bring my experience to several Board and Advisory roles, including as Board Chair of the John M. Lloyd Foundation, shaping philanthropic strategy, governance, and grant making across criminal justice reform and global health. I am also serving as a Board member for Ipas, and as an advisor to the Feminist Impact Fund of Fos Feminist and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.I am known for strategic judgment, analytic rigor, and the ability to translate ambition into social impact.
