Being on a team and a part of something bigger than myself has always driven me.In 2023 received an MS in Leadership and Management in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. I worked as an investigator for the State of Texas from 20••••07. I started my law enforcement career in 2007. Over my 18 years with my department, I have served as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant (Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Internal Affairs), Lieutenant (Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Professional Standards), and now Commander (Patrol, Professional Standards, K9, Criminal Investigations, Highway Enforcement, Street Crimes, Records, Community Services, Crime Scene Unit). I am a 2020 graduate of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) – Leadership Command College (LCC). I was awarded my Certified Protection Professional certification through ASIS in September 2021.In June of 2024, I received my Certified Public Manager designation from Texas State University. In 2017, I was introduced to a program called The Blue Guardians. Blue Guardian is a group of officers who reach out to and mentor at-risk, impoverished, and sex-trafficked youth. I am now the President and Board member of this 501c3 that strives to build bridges one child at a time. I also serve on the Texas Police Chiefs Sub-Committee for Women in Leadership and Mentorship. Community outreach truly fills my cup and is an essential factor in choosing my next adventure.I am ready to move into a different role where I can continue to learn and grow.
