Governors State University was founded in 1969, located 40 miles south of Chicago. Governors State University has roughly 5,500 students with numerous degree programs and certificates. As a University Senior Lecturer, I teach both undergraduate and graduate programs. In my role, I develop and implement course instruction and support student success. I successfully build and maintain online instruction utilizing various technology platforms, including Blackboard. I also participate in committee work, University service and maintain business relationships with business partners. Courses include: Quality Management, Ethics, Problems in Business Ethics, Inventory and Production Management, Supply Chain Management, Leadership, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management and Operations Management.Independent Business Consultant Work with various companies to build customized course work to improve performance and quality. Also, working with our continuing education department, I teach various continuing education courses to the public and local corporations. Classes include Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Time Management, LS3C Lean Six Sigma for Supply Chain and Leadership.Associate Director, Supply Chain Innovation Center and Business Incubator (SCICBI), an Illinois Innovation Network (IIN) hub (2019) – Present)An Illinois State funded center engaged to promoted innovation and contribute to the economic and workforce development of Chicago’s southland region, through consulting, training and other professional services to businesses and startups in supply chain/logistics and related sectors.
