I first stepped foot in India twenty years ago and have spent the time since navigating her vibrant complexity as a fund manager, operator, and student of her ways.I post musings and observations at (https://indianspotlighttime.substack.com/) where I explore the India that often escapes headlines. It\'s a lived experience look beyond polished narratives and into the contradictions, workarounds, and lived truths that actually power the country.I am currently building Xindus, an Operating System for India’s exporters and small businesses. Co-Founder of Aspada (now Lightrock), fund manager in India and operator, advisor, and investor in multiple startups. Focus on financial inclusion, sustainability, emerging markets (specifically India), and impact investing. Aspada was early stage venture capital firm backing disruptive market leaders solving hard problems in India. Aspada was structured as a holding company backed with a significant anchor commitment from the Soros Economic Development Fund. Aspada also managed the SONG Fund, a collaboration between Soros Economic Development, Omidyar Network, and Google. In September 2019, the firm was sold to the LGT Group (Liechtenstein) to create Lightrock.
