ABOUT TREY COLE
As a Principal investor at Sixth Street, I leverage my petroleum engineering background and data analytics skills to evaluate and execute energy investments across various basins in the lower 48. I have developed a detailed understanding of the key strategic, financial, subsurface, and operational value drivers for a mix of unconventional and conventional plays. I leverage data analytics platforms and coding such as Spotfire, Alteryx, Python, QGIS, and others to high grade investment opportunities ranging from equity style investments such as minerals, working interest, and operated assets to 1st lien debt investments and most investments in between. Prior to joining Sixth Street, I spent 4 years at Jefferies, where I advised clients on asset divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and asset development guidance across both upstream and midstream sectors in the energy space. Prior to Jefferies, I worked at BHP (now Woodside) where I built out core competencies in analytical modeling, reserve estimation, and development planning. I worked each of BHP\'s unconventional assets in the Eagle Ford, Permian, Haynesville, and Fayetteville.
