The game of Basketball is one of my ultimate passions in life. I believe that Basketball is one of many tools that allow life lessons to be learned by our youth boys & girls. Our athletes are able to learn more about themselves in different and positives ways through things such as competition, relationships, independence, social skills, having fun and much more.My Duties:• Coordinate Preschool - 2nd grade youth basketball league• Coordinate 3rd - 8th Boys/Girls youth basketball league • Run practices for all our different teams & provide practice plans to coaches• Oversee youth coaches and assist in practices or games• Coordinate skills academies, basketball clinics & camps • Train referee/officials for youth leagues • Run Tryouts for travel program teams• Coordinate with families about practice schedules, games schedules & upcoming events• Mediate situations that arise during the course of a seasonThe mission of the Omaha Sports Academy is to provide a fun athletic environment that promotes healthy competition and the development of positive life skills through quality instruction, service and facilities.
