Software Engineer and IT Developer with a lot of previous experience as an IT administrator. I\'m also a lifelong musician playing and arranging/composing professionally when I\'m not writing code or providing tech support for everyone\'s mom (including my own).Tech stuff- 3 years experience as a backend software engineer; built APIs, microservices and integrations with SaaS and vendor systems- 2 years experience as an IT developer; automated IAM and MDM using AWS, Okta, GitHub, Jamf Pro and Node.js SDKs- 15+ years experience in IT administration; SaaS and network admin, server config, MDM deployment, end user supportAt heart, I\'m just a person who loves figuring out how to do things on computers and how computers work. After I fiddled around and broke things for a while I starting helping other people figure things out, and then they started paying me for it. Next thing I knew I had an IT career. Eventually I decided I really wanted to learn to write code and build stuff, so I created a role for myself at my job as an IT Developer where I was able to harness the magic of the cloud to automate previously manual and tedious processes. The people rejoiced. So I spread my wings as a software engineer and made the leap to a TypeScript shop where I helped build the back end of a digital insurance claim processing product. It was real fun once I escaped from Dependency Injection Purgatory. I learned a ton from some great people, and now I\'m building on that plus all my IT experience to keep on growing and learning.Music stuff:I play all the saxophones, flute and clarinet, and I sing lead and backups. I studied jazz in college, but I play as many genres of music as they let me and take pride in playing many styles with musicality and sensitivity. My taste in music is very broad, but I\'m not into smooth jazz. I like rough edges: rhythmically, harmonically, tonally, emotionally. I\'ve been blessed to make music with legends like Dr. John, Orlando Julius Ekemode, and The Rascals, as well as some of the top musicians in the Baltimore/DC region.
