Reports directly to the Senior Director, Fires Programs and is responsible for pursuit, capture and execution of growth programs that align with the Ground Combat and Precision Targeting, Precision Weapons Systems strategic vision and goals. Growth programs include those contracted with new Department of Defense customers, introduction of new products and internally funded, independent research and development projects focused on technology development and maturation. Drives key decisions during the business capture phase and manages the transition from the proposal to execution phases. Responsible for the establishment and management of new program baselines including cost, schedule, and technical aspects to monitor and control execution of the programs. Conducts monthly program reviews with an eye toward program health metrics tailored for each program. Engages with technology partners, including small businesses, to seek strategic teaming arrangements to strengthen the companies position in marketspaces including precision seekers assemblies, mobile mortar and mobile howitzer opportunities. Coordinates directly with engineering leadership, contracts and supplier management, finance team and production operations to ensure efficient execution of solicitation response, proposal development, development program execution and transition to production.
