Experience
Staff Operations Engineer
Feb 2023 — Present · Denver, CO, US
Led and executed the full spectrum of engineering duties, including drilling, completion, and production optimization for a 14-well program in the DJ Basin. Actively collaborated and contributed to cross-functional teams providing crucial support to the facilities engineering, field operations, and permitting/regulatory teams. • Notable reduction in drilling cost by reducing drilling days from 10+ to 6-7 days for 2.5-mile laterals. 6 new drills effectively doubled horizontal well count. • Implementation of various reservoir theories into completion execution and flowback strategies. This reduced frac costs by $0.5MM per well by reducing frac size. • Assumed leadership in the plugging and abandonment program, actively contributing to the offsetting of older wells against new drills.• Executed a strategic workover program, transitioning artificial lift to gas lift in legacy wells, resulting in a production increase of 700+ BOPD. • Enhanced completion reporting standards by refining Form 5 state completion reports, aligning them with ECMC standards to address changing regulatory requirements.
