ABOUT TREVOR MAXWELL

About my transition to a Data Professional I started out in construction. Learned teamwork and earned promotions by being self-motivated and accountable. Then manufacturing was a wonderful space where I continued to learn. My job was to perform repairs on industrial equipment. I also learned a lot of business acumen. I worked with deadlines collaborated with stakeholders and created more efficient processes. When I was traveling I worked in multiple different restaurants, Turns out that is a great second job as well. I learned how to think fast find solutions on the fly even work under pressure. More recently I have been in sales learning presentation skills, warehouse distribution learning logistics, and equipment repair. I have become proficient with attention to detail and problem-solving. I also learned how to implement data-driven decisions. I feel almost all of my soft skills transfer great to a career in data analytics. Currently, I am working as a Technical business analyst. I get to learn every day, work with a great team and solve diverse issues. This keeps things fresh and exciting! When I am not working I love to spend time with the family. Going on ski trips to local mountains, playing racket sports, and swimming. Some evenings my wife and I will watch movies or play games together. Recently I have met many community members who are also interested in analytics. I completed a Python boot camp cleaned data and stored it in a SQL database, and got hands-on with R statistics and Tableau when performing my analysis. My technical skills have grown and my interest. Some days it feels like drinking from a fire hose 🤣 Updating my portfolio with 9+ projects has been very rewarding. some of them include: 🩺 The hospital analysis project was primarily done in a SQL database. I have used Microsoft SQL Server and MYSQL to organize and explore data. The NBA basketball analysis and data story was mostly done with Tableau. The HR data analytics project was my first project using R, I normally use Python. The tools I feel strongest in are SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, and Python If you have made it this far I hope you will send me a request to connect Let\'s chat and see if there is an opportunity to help one another.
