EXCITING NEWS!From 1st April 2025 I will be retiring from my full time role as Head of H&S at the Babraham Institute and will continue to be available as a scientific H&S consultant working with Susan Chapple at JBSafe.The mix of H&S consultancy services I provide is up to the individual but can be tailored to include:General laboratory health and safety consultancy/advice and/orSpecialist biosafety (and genetic modification) advice as an external biological safety consultant and/or your biosafety officer (a competent person for the HSE) including• Provision of suitable biosafety policy and guidance information• Audit and inspection• Provision of suitable format risk assessment forms and help with the preparation of risk assessments and (if necessary) registration to carry out GM work and notification of containment 2 work to the HSE where required• Advice on suitable containment requirements• Provision of appropriate biosafety training• Provision of required standard biosafety procedures and codes of practice
