Now with National Highways and continuing structures work as was with Aone+ as Structures Steward North across the MAC Area 14 undertaking all inspections and submitting them into the National Highways computer system SMIS and now IAMIS. The role of Structures Steward has over the years covered varied tasks, principal, general and special inspections along with scheme preparation, dealing with many members of the supply chain in relation to structural repairs and access requirements, investigation and tutoring Graduate Engineers.My other duties have included preparation of Health and Safety files, project management, Setting up traffic management requirements such as TTRO’s, Road Space Bookings and Traffic Light applications with local authorities and the preparation of booking procedures to carry out inspections on the rail network. I have also supervised the installation of crash decks and concrete repairs upon a structure spanning the East Coast main railway line, organised installation of monitoring equipment to structures under risk, inspected and supervised structural repairs due to road traffic accidents. Currently developing further knowledge within National Highways Environment. I have also undertaken a voluntary role of better health advocate within National Highways.
