o Program manager of NOAA\'s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) Effects of Sea Level Rise Program (ESLR). Currently managing a portfolio of 21 projects in 19 states with a 2023 budget of 6.7 M and life cycle value of 19.1 M for active awards between 2019 and 2024). Through this competitive research program science is utilized to inform coastal ecosystem, community, and infrastructure protection from flooding with an emphasis on nature based solutions. Projects are managed as cooperative agreements with substantial involvement to ensure fiscal responsibility, to make strategic connections and to meet environmental permitting compliance. Annual site visits are foundational to supporting the 130 researchers across 72 institutions, as we support resilience (FY23).o Ongoing contributions to regional and international meetings, presenting program success and science challenges including 38 in person presentations created and delivered since 2021. o Involved with department hiring and interviews. Supported the career advancement and mentorship of agency fellows and junior program management staff.o Co-lead the Climate Smart Transportation Partnership between NOAA and DOT’s secretariat office. o Developed 46 plain language news items highlighting ESLR for NOAA’s website since 2021.o Participated in the development of national policy on nature based solutions, permitting, and coastal flood modeling including support of White House led tasks and interagency activities. o Maintain strong inter-agency collaboration with agencies and develop research competitions that incentivize the forming of ground breaking interdisciplinary science teams.o Maintain the office wide budget portfolio (and run queries and provide outputs from R to Leadership and Congress.
