ABOUT TREVOR KEMP

I work at the intersection of systems architecture, embedded Linux, robotics/automotive platforms, applications, and performance engineering. Most of my career has been spent making complex systems more predictable—across kernels, distributed components, firmware, onboard networks, and large integration environments.I’ve led teams, owned platform areas, and driven cross-team efforts that required architectural judgment and the ability to coordinate many moving parts. A lot of my work has involved taking messy or fragile systems and turning them into something stable: redesigning heavy data logging and data pathways, improving integration reliability, reworking OS release processes, and providing the technical glue between hardware, firmware, and higher-level software.I’m still a hands-on engineer. I enjoy working directly in C, C++, Python (and dabble with other languages!), and kernel subsystems, reviewing designs, and building the internal tooling and processes that keep a system from drifting over time. I try to make architectures more understandable, reduce avoidable complexity, and help teams make decisions that age well.I value having an environment where engineering discipline matters, where architecture isn’t an afterthought, and where clarity and steady technical leadership can make a visible difference in the product.
