I am currently a software engineer on the Artifact Services team responsible for managing the backing storage service for Windows and Xbox builds. These services function as a distributed system across more than 600 on-premises machines as well as in the cloud, utilizing REST APIs for the majority of system operations. Our main focus is on ensuring security and reliability for the Windows/Xbox Engineering System, enabling processes such as testing, flighting, and releasing to customers. Some notable projects I have contributed to include- Leading and executing a project to migrate our Cloud API services from Azure Service Fabric to Azure App Services, improving deployment isolation and reducing deployment time by more than 80%- Designing a system for zero-downtime patching of our 600+ release servers, ensuring continuous access to hosted content for customers- Developing new APIs for replicating content from Azure to on-premises machines- Creating internal tools using C# and PowerShell to automate manual processes, reducing cost by more than 90%- Participating in the development of a big-data service that analyzes storage costs by various dimensions including teams and individual branches. This service, built with Python, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake, allows us to make more accurate predictions about how adding or removing content will impact our system financially- Creating PowerBI charts to analyze team performance and effectiveness.
