Head of IT Operations, supporting the Ecotricity Group, including the first green energy provider, the carbon-neutral football club Forest Green Rovers, and start-ups like Britwind, Sky Diamonds, and Devil\'s Kitchen.Leading five teams with around 25 colleagues in Desktop Support, Infrastructure Support, Information Security, Business Applications Support, and Vendor Management. Key responsibilities included- Aligning departmental objectives with business goals to enhance operational efficiency- Fostering collaboration across all organisational levels- Managing multimillion-pound IT budgets and optimising resources for cost-effective solutions- Building strategic partnerships with technology vendors, overseeing selection, negotiations, and performance management- Establishing IT governance frameworks (ITIL, ISO27001, etc)- Managing IT risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and overseeing cybersecurity measures and awareness programs-Driving recruitment, development, and retention of a high-performing workforce-Ensuring continuity of technical services through effective business continuity planningKey Achievements-Led the project to achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification- Managed the migration of data to cloud resources (Office 365 and Microsoft Teams)- Defined and implemented change management processes for technology improvements- Established an internal service desk using the ITIL framework- Implemented remote and hybrid working models, before COVID-19.
