About Trevor M.

I am a storyteller, journalist and editor who specializes in video work, writing and copy editing. I wrote and published more than 100 articles across various websites, news outlets and magazines during the last few semesters of my undergraduate. I have closely edited texts of varying lengths, from short-form breaking news articles to a full-length novel. I have also shot and edited a 15-minute documentary, 90-second news packages and short-form social media content.I received my B.A. in communications with a broadcast journalism emphasis and a minor in editing/publishing from Brigham Young University in Dec. I now work as a Digital Producer at ABC4 Utah (KTVX/KUCW), where I write articles for the web, help oversee content on the station\'s website and create content for its social media accounts. While at BYU, I worked as Executive Producer of the Universe Live broadcasts, which aired four days a week. Over the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to work full-time as an intern at KHON2 News, a broadcast news station in Hawaii under Nexstar Media Group. I devoted a full semester of my undergraduate degree to shooting and editing packages as an MMJ, recording VOs for stories and producing the on-campus newscast. I developed my skills with Adobe Premiere Pro, and I also wrote and formatted scripts in ENPS.While reporting for the student-run publication The Daily Universe, I wrote articles on events such as protests and lectures, and submitted my articles for editing within one hour of the event. I was also the lead editorial writer for the College of Fine Arts and Communications External Relations Office while a student at BYU, where I wrote news releases, feature stories and other articles; I also worked on copy editing articles, social media posts and client communications.

   Communicate effectively with the Sales and Marketing departments, as well as other proper channels to verify tour information (such as gifting, tour location, group tours, etc.). • Assign guests to the correct Sales Executive and Sales Leader, ensuring tour assignments adhere to the proper rotation.• Verify that guest information on presentation invitations matches the internal system for qualified tours.• Issue gifts to guests as needed. Ensure gifts are properly issued and logged, and that guests understand how to use gift certificates, if applicable.• Greet guests who come to the front desk and answer questions they may have regarding the presentation, nearby activities, or other topics.• Answer phone calls to the sales gallery and answer questions or direct the guests as needed.• Accurately track which tours are active and which have completed, including updating physical and digital trackers with the proper status.• Book transportation for guests (including Ubers, taxis, and taxi vouchers) as needed.I currently work in the sales galleries at the Lagoon Tower and Grand Islander in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, as well as the sales gallery at The Modern, a Hilton Vacation Club.
