Overseeing operations, activities, efficiency of staff and workflow logistics for both Police Records Management Division and Property Control and Evidence Management Division. Evaluating to elevate overall workflow operations; identifying gaps and researching resources needed, developing plans to address identified gaps; using technology to implement appropriate resources, vendor services, establish solutions-focused partnerships; relevant trainings for staff to align Units within state standards and industry best practices. Updating policies to address outdated practices; recommending third-party outsourced products and/or services to mitigate, minimize, or reduce risk and to amend outdated policies and practices, providing solution-focused strategies that improves safety and reduces Dept exposure to liability. Police Records Management Division is responsible for processing local criminal background checks for agencies entitled to information under the law; processing incident reports requests from the public, LEA and other authorized gov\'t organizations. Property Control and Evidence Management Division (PCD) is responsible for the collection and storage of evidence as the custodian of property and evidence; while maintaining chain of custody; PCD’s primary function is to barcode, classify, store, dispense, destroy, and to release or return property and/or evidence to its rightful owner. PCD provides vital support services citywide - to all 10 District Stations; to the entire SFPD Investigations Bureau, SF District Attorney’s Office, DAI\'s, SF Superior Courts; forensic evidence drop-off/pickups to Crime lab, ME Office; out of county narcotics lab; implementing a repurposing continuum for lost/abandoned/found property; facilitate quarterly property destruction schedules; assist district special operations and programs hosted (e.g, GBBP); assisting outside LEA (e.g, SFSD, CHP), and other neighboring public services partners utilizing PCD services as well.
