ABOUT TRELL HUETHER
Trell Huether is a creative strategist specializing in long-term planning, issues management, content creation and media relations. This work has included the planning and execution of complex programs in numerous industries. He is currently the Assistant Director of Communications at Ontario\'s Ministry of Education. Previously, he held communications management positions with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. Previous to public sector work, Trell led numerous targeted business-to-business, consumer and stakeholder relationship campaigns in agency director roles. His diverse background includes work with Casino Rama, Grand & Toy, IMAGINiT Technologies, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, Panasonic Canada and a variety of travel industry clients including Emirates Airlines, Hotels.com, Jamaica Tourist Board and Tourism Victoria. He has been awarded several communications awards for his work including awards of excellence from IABC/Toronto\'s OVATION Awards, IABC Canada\'s Silver Leaf Awards and IABC International Gold Quill Awards. An energetic volunteer, Trell is a Past President of IABC/Toronto (the International Association of Business Communicators/Toronto chapter). Under his leadership, the not-for-profit broke records for membership (1,700 members), social media engagement and event attendance. This success was recognized internationally as the organization won four awards of excellence in the IABC Chapter Management Awards for its leadership in communications, financial management, leadership development and professional development. Previously, he served on the board for eight years leading various portfolios. Trell also served as Communications Director for IABC/Canada East. Additionally, he has judged awards, served as a mentor and spoken at several international communications leadership conferences.
