About Traviss Thomas
I am a zealous advocate of those who need someone to believe in them, especially our youth. I have worked in Washington, DC public schools as a substitute teacher, Prince George’s County Mobile Crisis as a transitional-age youth counselor, DYRS youth detention facility in DC as a youth development representative and each of these roles has left a profound sense of urgency that our youth need more. When we invest in our youth, we invest in our future, and I for one choose to believe that our future is brighter than ever before.
