Colorado Livestock Association\'s (CLA) mission is to represent Colorado’s livestock producers with a unified voice by advancing the interests of members, livestock, and the public. CLA was formed in 1998 through a restructuring of the then 43-year-old Colorado Cattle Feeders Association. The new name and structure were designed to better reflect the association\'s membership. CLA members are cattle & sheep feeders, cow/calf producers, dairy farmers, swine operations, & agribusiness partners. In 1955, what started as a group of cattle feeders working to eradicate a disease (red nose) has grown into a multi-species organization, working to strengthen & unite animal agriculture in Colorado for future generations. CLA advocates on behalf of its members in the regulatory & legislative arenas in Colorado. From testifying at the Capitol to participating in rulemaking hearings at the Department of Health, CLA is your boots on the ground partner in addressing regulatory & legislative issues. As a group of diversified protein producers, we may not always agree on the details of every message, but we all understand that a message coming from our collective membership is much more effective than one from each of us individually.
