About Travis Large
My profession is RECRUITING but I\'m simply \"in the people business\" if you ask me! Everyday I get to talk to people about career opportunities, and learn more about their background and what makes them unique. Sometimes, that conversation can lead to a match between my employer and an applicant. That\'s a pretty good day for everyone involved. I live in Huntsville, AL so the vast majority of my recruiting experience comes from DoD contracting companies (Engineering), NASA, IT firms, and other technical professional arenas. I have also interviewed and staffed for Customer Service, Professional Services, Finance/Banking, Manufacturing, Call Center, Hospital, Hotel, and Light Industrial positions. I believe in work-life balance and I am a dedicated father (co-parent) so outside of work my interests primarily revolve around my kids. Specialties: AIRS Certified Internet Recruiter, strong knowledge of Boolean Searches and Search Engine Optimization. Experienced with Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, and other ATS software. I am also a huge advocate of Entrepreneurship. I\'ve started and ran a couple small business of my own and the lessons I\'ve learned are invaluable. I\'m a better employee at my present employer because I run my desk like its my own business. I care about what I do, as if it were my own.
