Assistant Grocery Manager @Harmons Grocery

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures • Assist the Grocery Manager with the successful operation of the grocery, frozen, dairy • Ensure the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the grocery, frozen, dairy• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the grocery, frozen, dairy • Confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items • Deliver excellent customer service to all customers • Receive, stores and stocks a wide variety of products for the grocery, frozen, dairy and natural and specialty foods departments • Order product to meet the needs of the grocery departments based on past and projected sales • Build end-cap and other special product displays • Assist Grocery Manager and Store Director with the successful operation of the store • Communicate with Grocery Manager, Store Director and Sales Directors • Teach, mentor and educate associates to help them be successful members of the team • Assist with quarterly inventory of all store products • Assist as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole • Consistent and daily interaction with store associates • Consistent and daily interaction with customers • Consistent and daily interaction with vendors • Use solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people • Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict • Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized skills and techniques • Have integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed • Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused and consistent
