I am a Leader and Managing Director in the Assurance and Internal Audit marketing offering of Risk and Financial Advisory at Deloitte. I have more than 22 years of experience with internal IT controls. In addition, I have significant experience with business process controls and internal audits (IA), including coordination of international work. I continue to serve our Central Region client base (Columbus, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; and Upstate New York) across multiple industries by performing/supervising computer-based controls assessments, Sarbanes-Oxley engagements, Internal Audit projects and SSAE 18 and JSOX reviews. I have also performed and managed technical reviews of several computer processing platforms and operating systems. Selected Experience:• Perform and supervise higher risk pre- and post-implementation systems internal audit reviews, focusing on controls designed into the systems and on compliance with aspects of the client’s systems development methodology.• Review of client ERP implementations (Oracle and SAP), assisting in the resolution of inherent control weaknesses.• Perform and supervise SOX and JSOX attest and readiness engagements, including evaluation of critical business process (digitalization), financial and general computer controls.• Perform and supervise third party attestation reporting for service industry clients (SSAE18s/SOC reviews).• Conduct and perform IT risk assessments and related internal audits. Assist in the coordination of International IA projects and related activities.• Perform and supervise application and system control audits relating to Unix/Linux, MVS, VMS, OS/390, Windows, and AS/400 processing environments, as well as Oracle, SQL and DB2 database management systems.• Assist in the due diligence activities for clients that outsource their information systems and financial operations (Cloud).Passionate about People - love investing my time with coaching and mentoring of others inside and outside of work.
