Provide support to imaging technologists by assisting with patient preparation, positioning, and transport for diagnostic imaging procedures. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the imaging process while maintaining strong communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.My responsibilities include- Preparing patients for imaging exams and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety- Assisting patients on and off procedure tables and transporting them safely to and from imaging rooms- Maintaining patient flow by coordinating with technologists, nurses, and other staff- Inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining transport equipment to ensure safety and readiness - Supporting technologists with workflow needs, EMR documentation, and equipment setup- Adhering to strict safety protocols to protect patients and staff in a high-volume imaging environment- This role has allowed me to strengthen my clinical skills, broaden my knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, and build experience that directly supports my goal of becoming a radiologic technologist.

ABOUT TRAVIS SEGUIN
I am a healthcare professional currently working as a Radiology Technologist Assistant at Intermountain Health, where I support imaging technologists and help provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. In this role, I assist with preparing patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort, and contributing to efficient patient flow in a fast-paced medical setting.Previously, I worked as a Patient Care Technician on the Medical/Oncology floor, where I gained experience supporting patients with complex conditions and those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and end-of-life care. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, deliver empathetic care, and collaborate with diverse healthcare teams.I am completing my prerequisites for the Radiologic Technology program at Salt Lake Community College and will be applying in fall 2025. My coursework in anatomy, biology, bioethics, and introductory radiology is preparing me for a career in medical imaging.My long-term goal is to become a radiologic technologist and pursue specialization in radiation therapy. I am passionate about supporting patients through some of their most challenging moments with professionalism, empathy, and dedication.
