Permitting / Development- Project Manager for the CTV I Class VI permit, successfully obtaining EPA approval without legal challenge. Aggressively implementing the permit with first injection planned for 2025.Successfully completed technical reviews on four projects, advancing them into the EPA public comment period and securing approval to construct without a legal challenge- Acted as the primary liaison with the EPA, DOE, and public stakeholders for subsurface and regulatory permitting.Business Development- Led carbon storage screening and business development opportunities, managing a team that included reservoir engineers, wellbore engineers, geologists, and petrophysicists- Successfully secured three CarbonSAFE grants totaling $55MM for pre-FID funding and storage de-risking initiatives- Evaluated storage projects across the U.S, targeting organic and early cash flow opportunities.Technical- Led a multidisciplinary team in characterizing and assessing storage volumes and uncertainty for depleted oil and gas and saline reservoirs, completing SRMS assessments for major projects- Developed a project risk summary for regulatory applications. Served as geological lead for detailed risk assessments, identifying risks and mitigation strategies- Primary point of contact for industry consortium groups, including the PCOR Partnership, Gulf Coast Carbon Center and Caltech Center for Geomechanics and Mitigation of Geohazards (GMG).
