   FPGA implementation of Electronic Warfare (EW) algorithms. From job description- Algorithm development and performance analysis with a focus on Time-Frequency Detection of radar pulse signals. With implementation in FPGAs- Integration of algorithms in FPGAs, and support integration of FPGAs within Systems- Research, design, development and test of systems which perform real-time signal acquisition and processing. Detailed accomplishments- Lead an Agile Systems Engineering investigation. Looked into how systems engineers could work more efficiently with software engineering. 15 engineers worked part-time on the effort- Developed multiple R&D proposals for 2024- Developed a Time-Frequency Detection Handbook for internal use- Performance analysis of a large update to our radar pulse Time Frequency Detector- Implementation of new Pulse Descriptor Word (PDW) measurements from a spectrogram. Used HLS to add SNR calculations for each sample- Simulation updates for spectrogram. Used System Verilog to add a variety of checks to the simulation- Created a multi-channel moving average filter in System Verilog along with constrained random tests for the module- AFSIM: trained on AFSIM and used it for simple scenario generation- Investigated model based FPGA design for complex DSP algorithms. Using Simulink and HDL Coder- FPGA design tools used: System Verilog, HLS, Simulink, Matlab HDL Coder - FPGA devices: Xilinx - Active Top Secret clearance - 1 Patent submission to USPTO
