ABOUT TRAM NGUYEN
Have you ever been to a Vietnamese restaurant and received a not-so-welcoming service or attitude from the servers? If the answer is yes, you’re not alone. More often than anyone of us would like to admit, we Vietnamese haven’t emphasized enough on customer service culture. In Vietnam, there are restaurants that actually even make a name for themselves for being loud to their customers. They may have made profits from the attention, but they may have also lost a good number of customers along the way. Growing up in such environments, I have learned to appreciate businesses that offer great experience to customers. This led to my great fascination when I first discovered careers involving User Experience. I have always been intrigued and curious about the system behind the success of well-known companies and corporations, and turned out, User Experience plays a significant part in it. Ever since, I’ve decided to align myself with a career in User Experience Design, absorbing all the tools and relevant skill sets on top of former background in Visual Design. All that is to equip myself for a new mission of spreading the power of a good user experience.
