About Tracy Anello

I started my career thinking I would get some quick management experience, finish my bachelor’s degree, and move on. Nearly two decades later I hadn\'t left my first employer. Company growth and other factors allowed me to learn more and do more. Service Delivery and Leading People are my passions and are where I cut my teeth on all things Talent Management. I’ve come full circle, but oh how there were many unplanned and wonderful stops along the way. Over time I also came to know that, if I did my work well, the value I provided would become obsolete, and would afford opportunity to move on to my next adventure!I’ve come to understand how having and following a repeatable process is key to consistent service delivery, and at the same time innovation. If you don\'t build a solid box (container), and know how you did so,\"thinking outside\" of it isn\'t optimal.Eventually my career would provide me a playground to further refine my thinking, and though not a complete list, here are some of my beliefs:1. I believe in the Platinum Rule - treat others as they\'d like to be treated (within reason)2. I believe \"There\'s no crying in baseball\" and there\'s no yelling (verbal and non-verbal) at work3. I believe people should have their name spelled and spoken correctly, with preferred pronoun4. I believe no one should EVER be surprised during a performance review meeting5. I believe when we are not the customer, we owe it to those that are, to get them what they need, which isn\'t always what they think they want6. I believe most of life is about calmly and gracefully negotiating the space between expectations7. I believe we typically know the best choice to make, and sometimes just don’t want to make it8. I believe that I will be a life-long-learner9. I believe that you can “lead a horse to water, but you can’t make her…thirsty”10.
