As Head of Learning and Participation at Northern School of Contemporary Dance I manage the schools outreach, centre based classes and deliver within the education modules for Cert HE course, BA Degree and Post graduate studies. The role is wide ranging from project inception through delivery and evaluation, our projects target varying community groups and promote dance to those who have previously had little or no access.Within the school I also fulfil the roles of Designated Safeguarding Lead, Prevent Spoc and line manage our Access & Participation Manager. I am co - chair of the Northern Children and Young Peoples Dance Network and Chair of the National Centres for Advanced Training, I hold varying roles on steering groups including PIPA and Leeds LCEP plus regional and national dance conferences.My passion is children and young people\'s dance and a key part of my role is to support progression routes into training via our community and pre vocational training programmes.I currently hold the position of community Governor at Hillcrest Academy & Richmond Hill Academy part of the Gorse Trust with specific focus or arts links and Safeguarding.
