ABOUT TRACY SCOTT

I never understood my natural ability to connect people until almost five years ago. Thinking back over my life experiences it has always been a joy for me to get to know people, find out about their experiences, dreams, and passions. You might say the mortgage industry found me. I started in sales mostly in artistic venues until someone asked me if I was interested in a position that was being created at Hanover Mortgage. Little did I know that it would become my growing place professionally and personally. When I made the switch from the support side at Hanover to the sales side, I knew getting connected to other professionals was paramount and connected with several people to launch a new BNI (Business Networking International) chapter in Greenville. These have become some of the best professional connections I could have and they have over the past 4 1/2 years become not just business partners, but friends. In 2020, not long after Covid started, I was presented with an opportunity to join the board of the Carolina Ballet Theatre. I have been involved in the arts in one way or another since I was very young. Covid was such an eye opener to many people about how different life would be without the arts. I enjoy very much presenting CBT to others, doing their grant work, and supporting the dancers and artistic directors in any way possible. I love helping to keep professional dance alive and well in Greenville. My other \"thing\" is wine. I do a side gig at the Tasting Room of Travelers Rest and thoroughly enjoy the opportunity I have to help the regulars, many of whom have become friends, and the new people who come in weekly find a great bottle of wine or a good craft beer to enjoy in the bar or at home. I am planning through the course of this year to launch something that is born out of a deeply personal experience and hope that it will be one more way for me to connect and help people to sources that will assist their needs and growth.
