About Tracy Murphy

I am the Regional Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest Region of Merrill Private Wealth Management. Headquartered in San Francisco. I am responsible for overseeing the activities of more than 35 private wealth teams in thirteen cities. I help to optimize the client experience by leading tailored initiatives designed to address the complexities of the significant wealth. Collaborative and consultative, I foster a culture firmly focused on the requirements of ultra-high-net-worth clients, connecting individuals, couples, and families to advice and offerings that support the lives and legacies they envision. I am also responsible for attracting and developing the highest caliber of advisory talent, leading a dynamic environment that rewards an entrepreneurial spirit of growth, creativity, and dedication. I joined Merrill in and have steadily taken on increasing leadership responsibilities within the firm. Previously, I served as a Managing Director of the Venture Services Group at Merrill, which provides operational support, transactional services, and strategic advice to company founders, venture capitalists, and private equity partners. I also oversaw the Wealth Management division for the East Bay of Northern California, as well as key markets in Oregon and Southern California. I earned an undergraduate degree from University of Southern California. I am active in a number of community organizations. I am a member of Battery Powered, a community designed to find and fund people and projects who work to strengthen society. Within the firm, I serve on the Market Executive Strategy Council and formerly served on the Diversity and Inclusion Council. My husband. Greg, and I reside in Mill Valley, California, with our two daughters.
