Strive to provide timely and professional agronomic/pest control technical support, research, and proprietary knowledge to the MVAS field staff of over 50 Pest Control Advisors. This allows MVAS to differentiate itself from other agricultural retailers by allowing PCAs to offer exceptional customer service. Specific duties include making field calls to investigate and identify field problems; providing practical field solutions to those problems; interpretation of water, soil, and leaf tissue reports; developing agronomic/fertilizer recommendations based on laboratory analyses; constructing Nutrient Management Plans for key growers; providing agronomic training to our PCAs and growers; conducting fertilizer research; and coordinating annual Grower Meetings that focus on the key crops serviced by MVAS. Extra-curricular activities include participating in Independent Agribusiness Professionals (IAP) Tech-Link activities and serving on the Soil Improvement Committee for the Western Plant Health Association.
