Abstract all pertinent ICD-10-CM diagnosis along with CPT-ICD -10 -PCS procedure codes based on official inpatient and outpatient coding guidelines.Review and interprets clinical documentation to assign accurate and complete codes, modifiers, discharge dispositions and any other clinical data elements required for appropriate reimbursement; Perform quality review of coding data. Continuing education pursued in accord with requirements of the accrediting bodies. Classification system proficiency in ICD-9-CM / CPT coding, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10- PCS, MSDRG’s, POA indicators, post-acute transfer rules -disposition status, disease process treatment, anatomy and medical terminology, clinical documentation requirements coupled with critical thinking abilities, professional and courteous customer service satisfaction; research regulatory compliance and financial reimbursement in accordance with national and hospital specific coding guidelines.SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT and ICD-10-CM and ICD-10- PCS dual coding methodologies acute care records.
