   Responsibilities include development, implementation, and evaluation of Comprehensive Health Services Department; student health services, mental health services for students and staff, policy development/review/implementation/evaluation, development of strategic plan strategies, goals, and measurable objectives, and ensure district and campus compliance with federal, state, local laws and policies related community, public, and school health. Managing a $7 million dollar multi-faceted department budget with local, grant, Foundation, and private funding. Management and leadership of of; student health, mental health, vision/hearing, and Family Resource Centers (8). Development and leadership of clinical School Mental Health Resource Centers (18). Building and fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Development of press releases and responding to media requests, press conferences; including, Board response. Development of strategic plans for health services, data analysis. Preparation of extensive reports and presentations to key stakeholders; including, internal and external governmental officials, legislative testimony, Board of Trustees, and community organizations. Collaborate and coordinate with outside agencies and resources to provide resources, access to programs and services. Resource allocation and development for the Department of Health Services; including seeking opportunities for funding, development of funding proposals. Seeking sustainable funding and resources to continue needed programs and services through Federal and State grant application. Development and implementation of Waiver programs. Utilization of Member of Mayor’s Health and Fitness Council Board, Children’s Optimal Health Advisory Board, Children and Youth Mental Health Planning Partnership, and Central Health Mental Health Leadership Team, and Central Health Policy Equity Council.
