Planning Activities• Perform analyses of financial information to be used in monitoring cash flow and other financial measures.• Review and approve annual budgets and budget reprojections.• Executive team member to improve overall technology of company-wide departments and the implementation of new software and procedures Finance Activities• Maintain an appropriate system of internal controls over all accounting and related functions.• Oversee the preparation and review of 360+ subsidiary and third party-owned multifamily housing properties• Prepare and analyze financial corporate financial statements• Ensure that proper financial record-keeping procedures are in place, and performed as designed, to facilitate the preparation of financial statements.• Maintain separate accounting records for all companies and report monthly to executive management the financial position and condition of each.• Assure that monthly accounting procedures are performed.• Ensure journal entries are properly recorded.• Perform detail/general review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting work performed by property and staff accountants, as applicable. Taxation and Licensing Activities• Prepare a detailed review of all regulatory tax returns and ensure they are filed on a timely basis. Oversee Personnel and Payroll Activities Auditing and Regulatory Activities• Ensure all audit packages are prepared and sent to external auditors, make sure all auditor questions are answered, and Adjusting Journal entries are completed Oversee Reporting to external owners and entities Oversee AP & AR Activities
