Tracey Barry earned her BS in Health & Physical Education from the University of Montevallo where she played Varsity Basketball and continued her pursuit of health education to earn her MS in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport.In the past, Ms. Barry co-owned and worked in private practice at the Take 2 Healthcare Center for 28 years. During that time in conjunction with managing the practice and providing Clinical Nutrition consulting services, Ms. Barry conducted workshops and seminars for children, adolescents and adults in topics dealing with nutrition in wellness and disease and was a frequent host of the News Talk Radio WHIO program Take 2 Health: Your guide to better living which airs every Saturday 11am-Noon in Dayton, OH and on Along with her personal sports background, Ms. Barry has a heightened interest in working with the female athlete and was a guest panelist for \"Educating and Equipping Coaches on the Issue of Eating Disorders\" at the 2006 NCAA Women\'s Basketball Finals Tournament in Boston, MA for the Women\'s Basketball Coaches Association. She spent much of her time in private practice counseling focusing on those with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, female health issues (all age spans), eating disorders, prenatal, gestational and postpartum nutrition, pediatric and adolescent nutrition, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and skin disorders. Ms. Barry’s foundational approach for counseling relies heavily upon blood work and other diagnostic testing to guide nutritional recommendations and evaluate progress for her clients. After many years in private practice, Ms. Barry co-founded Science Based Nutrition™ in 2001 with the intent to train and support nutrition minded healthcare providers in establishing state of the art nutritional healthcare to their patients. Science Based Nutrition\'s™ mission is to set a standard of objectivity in nutritional healthcare. Her primary roles with Science Based Nutrition involve Research and Development, Laboratory Consultant and Advisor, Clinical Support for members providing exceptional knowledge base of nutrients and their role in laboratory findings as well as client case management.
