April 2025 - present: I\'m a member of the Tourism Environment and Economy team, working on issues such as workforce challenges for tourism and hospitality, and how AI could be used to increase productivity. Mar 2024 - April 2025: I was part of a large project team that developed new legislation to regulate use of gene technology in New Zealand, supported the Minister to introduce it to Parliament and provided advice to select committee. Along the way, I advised the Minister on various policy choices. Mar 2023 - Feb 2024 - I worked on the NZ Income Insurance proposal, exploring alternatives (including particularly a market approach) and, after formation of the coalition Government, developed policy advice for the Minister of Immigration on options to address increasing volumes of asylum claims.
